Baghdad (IraqiNews.com)- Two Dutch F-16 fighter jets carried out the first Dutch bombardments against ISIS in Iraq on Tuesday, the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced.

The jets threw a total of three bombs on armed ISIS vehicles in the north of the country. The attack destroyed the vehicles and possibly killed ISIS fighters, according to the Dutch Ministry.

On Sunday the Dutch F-16 jets flew over the conflict area in Iraq for the first time to test procedures. At that time no weapons were fired.

The Netherlands deployed eight F-16 jets in the fight against ISIS, of which two are reserve planes. The planes have been deployed to the operation area since last Friday.

A total of up to 380 Dutch soldiers are involved in the operation, 250 for the management of the F-16s and 130 troops to advise and train the Kurdish and Iraqi forces.

Besides providing support for ground troops, the Dutch F-16s can be used to attack munition warehouses or military equipments, bomb mortar positions, tanks and other vehicles.

The Netherlands joined the international coalition mission against ISIS militants with a number of other countries under the leadership of the U.S., including France, Britain, Belgium and some Arab countries.

London (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday the brother of the executed aid worker Alan Henning said that Britain should send in ground troops to fight the extremist militants who have taken control of large expanses of territories of Iraq and Syria.

ISIS militants beheaded the 47-year-old British aid worker Alan Henning and other Western hostages on the back of Britain carrying out air strikes against ISIS targets in Iraq.

Reg Henning told the BBC today that the only way to end the killing of hostages is to deploy soldiers on the ground. "We need to send ground troops in or forces in to find out where these monsters are and bring them to justice," he said. "The sooner we do it, the sooner the killing stops."

It is worth noting that, the extremist group is holding more Western hostages including the British journalist John Cantlie, who has previously appeared in three ISIS videos.

'Kobani is about to fall to ISIS' says Turkish President Erdogan

Recep Tayyip Erdogan Prime Minister of Turkey e1327015166916 Kobani is about to fall to ISIS says Turkish President Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Ankara (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has told the Syrian refugees near the Syrian border, that the Kurdish city of Kobani is about to fall to ISIS.

This morning, after ISIS militants backed by tanks and heavy gear pushed into a southern district of Kobani. "The Western coalition air campaign will not be enough to save the town." Said President Erdogan during his visit to the southern border with Syria.

"Kobani is about to fall," He told the Syrian refugees near the border.

"We asked for three things: one, for a no-fly zone to be created; two, for a secure zone parallel to the region to be declared; and for the moderate opposition in Syria and Iraq to be trained and equipped."

Noteworthy, the Kurdish fighters are clashing with the ISIS militants in the villages surrounding Kobani since ISIS has taken control of the eastern villages in mid-September. And the fighters are struggling to defend their city from the militants because of lacking in gear, weapon, and aerial cover.

ISIS raised their flag on the outskirts of the city and crossed into a southern district of the town. And the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdurrahman said, "ISIS controls three neighborhoods on the eastern side of Kobani. They are trying to enter the town from the south west as well."

Turkey's Army Troops moved towards the hills along its borders with Syria, and at least 30 tanks and armored vehicles took up positions on the hills, but have not yet intervened.
