Scientists researching cybernetics have reached the penultimate achievement of their industry by developing a mind-control system that can allow one person to alter the genes in a mouse only through the power thought alone.
This approach simply combines the latest advances in cybernetics with synthetic biology by connecting them with a wireless headset which monitors brainwaves to an implant in the mouse's brain; whoever wears this headset can then alter the mouse's genes to make proteins and manipulate the mouse's behavior.
They anticipate that after some practice, the wearer of the headset should be able to turn this gene on and off in the mouse at will and on a whim.
