Amnesty International's Moral Collapse
On November 5, 2014, Amnesty International published its latest assault on Israel in yet another tirade accusing the Jewish state of genocide and other war crimes.
Later that same day, in a Twitter post by a senior Amnesty official, Israel was directly equated with ISIS, the barbaric jihadist terrorist organization. Amnesty International is now comparing the democratic State of Israel with rapists, decapitators and genocidal murders.
How did such a highly respected organization fall into such deep moral confusion?
Amnesty International began as a movement assisting prisoners of conscious to obtain "amnesty" from oppressive governments. They became renowned for exposing the horrible conditions suffered by political prisoners in the former Soviet Union. At that time, Amnesty was a powerful force drawing international attention to many well-known refuseniks, including Jewish prisoners Natan Sharansky and Ida Nudel.
With the fall of the Soviet empire, Amnesty lost its raison d'être and financial support for the organization plummeted. It needed another international concern that could raise support, and Israel provided an easy and profitable target. Their recent account of Israeli war crimes is just another example of Amnesty's exploitation of international hatred towards the Jewish state.

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades - the "armed wing" of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist group - has officially taken credit for this morning's brutal terrorist attack at a synagogue in Jerusalem.
Four people were murdered and eight wounded, four seriously, when two Arab terrorists stormed the Kehillat Bnai Torah Yeshiva Synagogue in Har Nof armed with knifes, axes and a pistol, spraying bullets and slaughtering innocent worshipers as they prayed.
The two terrorists were shot dead in an exchange of gunfire with Israeli police, and have been identified as cousins Uday and Ghassan Abu Jamal, Palestinian residents of Jerusalem's Jabel Mukhabar neighborhood who carry blue teudat zehut identity cards.
According to reports in the Palestinian media, the terrorists are relatives of Jamal Abu Jamal, a terrorist released for the second time from an Israeli prison as part of a "goodwill gesture" to Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas last year. Jamal Abu Jamal was rearrested earlier this month after returning to terrorist activity.
The attack was praised by the PFLP's Islamist counterparts Hamas and Islamic Jihad, who called on Palestinians to carry out similar such "operations."
Following this morning's attack, Israeli leaders - including Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and Economics Minister Naftali Bennett - have all insisted that Abbas bears responsibility for the atrocity, citing regular incitement emanating from him personally and the Palestinian Authority he leads in general.
Netanyahu in particular lamented the international community's shameful habit of ignoring PA incitement - a complaint regularly made by Israeli diplomats.
For perhaps the first time, following the attack US Secretary John Kerry alluded (weakly) to the PA's responsibility, urging "the Palestinian leadership at every single level to condemn this in the most powerful terms. This violence has no place anywhere particularly after the discussion that we had just the other day in Amman."
On cue, Abbas's office issued a statement condemning the attack - in anything but "the most powerful terms." What we were treated to instead was a matter-of-fact statement of condemnation qualified with a healthy dose of Israel-bashing, attacking Israel's "interference at Al-Aqsa [the Temple Mount - ed.] and the incitement by Israeli ministers."
Such a statement is nothing short of derisory.
Such a lukewarm condemnation hardly counters the stream of incitement uttered by Abbas, including calls to prevent "unclean Jews" from visiting the Temple Mount using "all means necessary." It is also notable that the same Hamas which so glowingly praised the attack is still currently a part of Abbas's "unity government" (albeit a shaky one).
Moreover, Abbas's own Fatah organization also celebrated the attack - as it has done after each previous terrorist murder - on its official Facebook page. The Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades [Fatah's military wing - ed.] released a long statement praising the "blessed" attack, and Fatah's Jerusalem chapter hailed it as a "natural response to daily Israeli violations."

The Italian city of Turin always displayed hostility towards the State of Israel. Three years ago, at Park Ruffini, authorized by the municipality, a launching of shoes against the silhouette of former Israeli President Shimon Peres holding a Star of David was held.
Now there is an ambitious exhibition of the Museum of the Resistance. Officially, the title of the exhibition is "The long journey of the Palestinian refugee population". An exhibition created by the Italian branch of UNWRA, the UN agency for perpetuating the "refugee" status of the Palestinians, and which in the last war in Gaza had some minor problems with the storage of Hamas' rockets in its schools and facilities.
The municipality of Turin and the Piedmont region financed the event. The press conference for the presentation was attended by the Councillor of the Piedmont Region Monica Cerutti and Maurizio Braccialarghe, Councillor for Culture of the city of Turin.
The museum's show is a blood libel against the Jews, apart from the fact that a Museum of the Resistance, which should pass on the memory of the anti-fascist resistance, is celebrating the "memory" of the "Palestinian resistance". Surprising is also the timing, just after the war in Gaza. In the exhibition there is a video streaming major Western capitals, from Paris to London, on the background of "the wall" of Israel. The Arc de Triomphe is overshadowed by the concrete segment of the Israeli fence (actually only a small part of that barrier is concrete, the rest is reticulated and sensors). But there is also the parliament in Ottawa, Canada.
The exhibition does not say that the fence was built to stop the wave of attacks by Palestinian suicide bombers in the Israeli cities. It explains, however, that "the wall harms ecosystems, breaks the territorial continuity and social cohesion, destroys the economy, separate each family and the community". Jews are libeled for preventing their own blood from being shed.

Jerusalem Synagogue Massacre: Enough Status Quo, Maybe?

Four rabbis at prayer in a Jerusalem synagogue were murdered – hacked to death -- by a pair of terrorist Arabs, and this we all know. We have since learned, from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that the homes of these terrorists will be destroyed, and this is too is not big news. (A Druze-Israeli policeman to the rescue has become the fifth fatality.)
Nothing, in fact, is really news. Another day, another massacre. Despite the shock, the grieving and the rage, Israelis have learned to take it in stride.
We also learn that Har Nof, the same place where all that happened only hours ago, is "back to normal." Those words from an Israeli spokesman.
Yes, the doors of the shul are open again, the blood wiped clean of Rabbis Moshe Twersky, Aryeh Kupinsky, Kalman Ze'ev Levine and Avraham Shmuel Goldberg.
Among Israelis, getting back to normal is a matter of pride. "We won't live in fear. We won't be intimidated." That is the message.Admirable, I suppose.
For Obama's citing Palestinian suffering in the same breath as this atrocity, no words at this moment except one – disgraceful.
I remember another incident in Jerusalem. Yes another cold blooded murder and, moments after the streets and sidewalks had been scrubbed of Jewish blood, I watched the mothers stroll their baby carriages over the exact spot where the murder had taken place, watched them defiantly walking, heads up, to make the point that Israelis are resilient.
How could you not love them?
But even then I had mixed opinions. Hurray for Jewish bravado. But on the other hand, are Israelis getting too used to this? Is this a case of Israelis proving that nothing can stop them, or is this a case of Israelis accepting their fate as sheep doomed to be slaughtered?

And this very week swastikas desecrated her final resting place, defiling her soul just one more time. In any alternative universe that would be a global headline, but we live in an "olam hasheker" a false world.
By the time this is published, who knows how many other Jewish souls, G-d forbid, will be killed and then globally ignored. These Jewish enemies can't make it any clearer. It's not that they don't want Jews praying on the Temple Mount, they don't want Jews praying or breathing anywhere. And what makes it harder to swallow is that news agencies are partners in the terrorism.

Economics Minister and Jewish Home Chairman Naftali Bennett referred to pictures to suggest that car rampage terrorist Abdelrahman Shaludi's house was not fully destroyed Wednesday, in an exclusive interview with Arutz Sheva.
On Tuesday night, IDF troops, assisted by the Israel Police and the Border Police, demolished Shaludi's Jerusalem home. Shaludi, last month, carried out a car attack near the Jerusalem Light Rail killing two people including a three-month-old baby.
"We have to move from a consciousness of defense to a consciousness of attack. For too many years, all the security systems in this country have focused on protection and placing guards. I'm working very hard on changing this through various relevant forums and the Security Cabinet," Bennett stressed.
"We need to produce a stronger type of deterrent than exists today. Right now, a terrorist can kill Jews and kill himself, feeling that heaven is assured, and knowing that his family will still have a home, national insurance, and funds from the Palestinian Authority," the Minister continued.
