Christy, an Arab resident of Bethlehem who was forced to flee to the UK following persecution over her sympathy to Israel, has gone public with her criticism of the Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership.
Following an Al Jazeera interview with PA Chief Negotiator Saeb Erekat, in which Christy asked him from the audience whether he could impartially negotiate and was promised freedom of speech, transparency and women's rights in "Palestine," Christy decided to express her views of the situation at a Swedish university.
Video of the speech was published on YouTube, and as a result she in the UK and her family living under the PA have been threatened. In late April, Christy presented her case, and showed her speech again:

During this year's Passover season, it is especially poignant to remember what danger authoritarian nationalist regimes pose to people who do not fit onto their Procrustean bed – especially the Jews.
In 2003, having spent 10 months living in Moscow, I became convinced that Russia stood on the verge of a nationalist explosion. To be sure, back then, in the early years of President Vladimir Putin's rule, there was still hope that Russia could be a democratic, modern nation. The country was a lot more open than in the Soviet era, when my family emigrated from Moscow.
Its people were enjoying the freedom to travel and to speak their mind, and cultural life was rich, varied and uncensored. But underneath it all there seethed the anger and resentment of a defeated nation.

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) sharply criticized US Secretary of State John Kerry Monday, over Kerry's remarks claiming that Israel is bound to become an "apartheid state" if it ceased conceding to the Palestinian Authority (PA)'s demands.
Katz connected Kerry's comments to Holocaust Memorial Day.
"Holocaust Day ceremonies. [We hear] terrible descriptions [of] how the Nazis and their collaborators, drenched in hate and race theory, turned millions of defenseless Jews into dust and ashes - and the world stood by in silence," Katz wrote, in a Facebook post.
"And now the Secretary of State describes Israel as an 'apartheid state,'" Katz lamented. "Us? The Jewish state, [which was] established to protect itself after [it was] intimidated with threats of extermination?"
"Kerry, shame on you!" he concluded. "There are thing you just can't say."

On a lobbying trip to Washington DC, Dani Dayan, Chief Foreign Envoy of the Council of Judea and Samaria, slammed US Secretary of State John Kerry for remarks he made about how Israel would turn into an "apartheid state" if it stopped making concessions to the Palestinians.
"John Kerry has outdone himself this time, demonstrating a total lack of understanding of the Middle-East conflict," said Dayan. "His equation of the democratic State of Israel and Apartheid South Africa is a new low in American diplomacy and an insult to the people of Israel and South Africa. Had Secretary Kerry come to Judea and Samaria, he would have learned about the potential for coexistence without the need for incendiary comments."
In a recording leaked Sunday, Kerry is heard saying that if Israel doesn't make peace soon, it could become 'an apartheid state,' like the old South Africa. The comments were made by Kerry during a meeting with influential world leaders in a closed-door meeting Friday. The Daily Beast web site obtained a recording of the comments.

Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein (Likud) expressed doubts over the seriousness of Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's condemnation of the Holocaust Monday, calling the statement "perfunctory" and for the sake of repairing the PA's image.
Edelstein noted on Reshet Bet that Abbas has denied the Holocaust before - authoring his doctorate dissertation on the subject - and that, to show true remorse, much more is needed than merely a statement.

Is a second Holocaust possible? This is a justified question in view of the past century's genocide, as well as the current massive and extreme hate-mongering against Israel and Jews. History shows that genocide is usually preceded by major and continuous demonization of the potential victims. Yet, not all wide-scale hate-mongering leads to mass murder.
Never in history has the psychological infrastructure for genocide been prepared more thoroughly and for longer than in the period leading up to the Holocaust. For many centuries, the Catholic Church told its followers that the Jews killed Jesus. It added an even deadlier accusation: that all of their Jewish offspring were forever responsible for the death of the alleged son of God. Over 50 years ago in the book Devil and the Jews, Joshua Trachtenberg summarized how medieval Christendom viewed the Jew: as a "sorcerer, murderer, cannibal, poisoner, blasphemer."

Abbas: The Holocaust against the Jews
was "most heinous crime to have occurred against humanity"

Mahmoud Abbas' recent acknowledgement that "what happened to the Jews in the Holocaust is the most heinous crime to have occurred against humanity in the modern era" [Wafa (the official PA news agency), April 27, 2014] is a very rare example of official PA acknowledgement of the Holocaust and that its crimes were directed principally at Jews.
Studying Palestinian Authority officials' statements and PA events publicized in the official PA media, Palestinian Media Watch has found very few other examples of explicit official PA acknowledgement of the Holocaust and its crimes against the Jews (and others).
Earlier this year, the official PA daily reported that the PA Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an official statement condemned the "massacres against the Jews":
"[The Ministry] strongly condemned the acts of massacre that were committed primarily against Jews, as well as against other minorities, which are among the most serious crimes perpetrated by man against humanity. [The Ministry added that these crimes had been perpetrated] in a way incomprehensible and unimaginable to a free person, as part of a process of ethnic cleansing and genocide that will remain a mark of shame upon humanity's forehead forever." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 30, 2014]
However, in the same statement, the PA Foreign Ministry subsequently compared "the Israeli occupation regime" to Nazi conduct during the Holocaust, listing both as examples of "catastrophic evil in human history."

EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton, a kind of heir of the Queen Isabel who exiled the Spanish Jews, just condemned Israel for some houses...
No Jews live there anymore, but many residents have ancient Jewish roots dating back to the 15th century Spanish Inquisition, when Jews were exiled or had to convert to Catholicism and many of the Jews who converted were suspected of mendacity, tortured horribly and burned at the stake. The town's official shield includes the Star of David.
As Léon Poliakov has pointed out, "Spanish theologians worked out a doctrine according to which the false beliefs of Jews had soiled their furthest descendants . . . . The theologians maintained that the rejection of Christ had corrupted the conversos biologically".
A play of the time praised a "noble dog" who smelled out Jews dressed in Christian clothes.
The headlines about the Spanish town came in the same week that the Italian city of Palermo gave honorary citizenship to Marwan Barghouti, the Palestinian Arab terrorist who took the lives of many Jews.
