Well first all radio was cancelled today as last night on the way home from Wichita I got really sick with the flu. I had to even pull over and sleep for an hour as I even passed out once and woke up in a couple of seconds in another lane…..so nothing but reruns today or tonight whatever.

This hurts as the Mission Electric gas is off, I had planned on asking for funds on radio but no radio tonight.

Generally at the first of the month we have money come in the mail from a couple of different places that pays these things…the money is not here yet and we need to call it in now so there is heat in the building tomorrow for the people and for service….the total bill is $583 I think but my wife says she talked with them and they will turn it back on for $315.

On another note we have newsletter than needs to go out in the mail like now it was supposed to go out last week so people would have responded by now, if they do not start getting it next week being late it cuts down greatly what is mailed in….

Better soon I would think…we are planning a bike event fun run (poker run) for May 10^th I really think it will bring in the people needed to fund the Woman’s shelter! You see the Harley riders that do these things now and ride Harleys have more money than they used to. The new Biker crowd consists also of doctors, attorneys, etc and they will be on this run. The Local Harley dealership is helping us with this event!

A large local church group is interested also now in what we are doing I spoke with a pastor this last Tuesday and gave him a tour of the Woman’s shelter…this is good and by default more money should also come to the Mission Church FROM WICHITA…but we have to fight this fight and the Devil is mad I would guess….soon I look for things to change money wise.

He said that volunteerism in America is at it’s lowest in 10 years, the Journal is doing articles on people who are dedicated to what they are doing, he said I was the most dedicated volunteer he knew and he is doing an article for the Spring 2014 issue, soon to be out. And he sent a guy to talk pictures of me and the fellow called me a “Rock Star”? The Guy whom took the pictures said they should be spending more time at out place and he was going to tell others….It is published by the Kansas Leadership Center. He says it should also by default bring some support for what we are doing….

So I think Satan that old Devil is working over-time to stop us, we NEED your prayer now for my health (FLU?), for the Devil to get off money that is supposed to be coming in the mail, and really just off our finances so we can be around running full steam when these other things happen…and Passover is coming we need funds for that the newsletter could also help in funds for that…

Obama Told Military Leaders: Accept Gays In Military Or Step Down, Admiral Says

In a 2010 meeting in the Oval Office, the president told service chiefs they could “go do other things” if they didn’t support abolishing DADT, Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert Papp said.

In a meeting with the heads of the five service branches in 2010, President Obama offered the leaders a choice: Support my efforts to end the military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, or resign, the Commandant of the Coast Guard said.

In a video obtained by BuzzFeed via a Freedom of Information Act request, Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert Papp revealed that Obama was unwilling to compromise with service leaders over DADT during a meeting in 2010. “We were called into the Oval Office and President Obama looked all five service chiefs in the eye and said, ‘This is what I want to do.’ I cannot divulge everything he said to us, that’s private communications within the Oval Office, but if we didn’t agree with it — if any of us didn’t agree with it — we all had the opportunity to resign our commissions and go do other things,” he said.

Papp talked about the meeting during a Q&A session with U.S. Coast Guard Academy cadets following a leadership address to the corps on Jan 8. The admiral was asked how officers should respond to policies that they disagreed with but were required to enforce. “If I disagree morally with [a policy], it’s my obligation to voice that, regardless of the risk it might give my career,” he said. “I’ve been in those situations. I’ve been fortunate to have good leaders that have appreciated that.” Using himself as an example, Papp said it was OK for leaders to “not be thrilled” with a certain regulation, but if they didn’t “see anything terribly wrong with it,” it was their job as officers to support and enforce it.

The admiral, who will be retiring from active duty on May 30, added that he thought the U.S. military made the right decision by abolishing DADT.

In a 2008 interview, then-Senator Obama told The Advocate that he wouldn’t make support of DADt’s repeal “a litmus test” for his military leaders. “What I want are members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who are making decisions based on what strengthens our military and what is going to make us safer, not ideology.”

Is a 1987-type market crash 37 days away?

Investors marveling at the striking similarities of the bull market today to the one that ended in 1987 are hoping history doesn’t repeat itself.

If it does, the market could be in some serious trouble in 37 trading days. In 37 trading days, the ongoing bull market would be 1,311 trading days old, says Jim Paulsen of Wells Capital Management. That is a scary date because it was on the 1,311 trading day after the start of the 1982 bull market that the Standard & Poor’s 500 suffered its biggest one-day crash in history on Oct. 19, 1987. That crash snuffed out what had been a powerful market rally starting in 1982.

Normally these kinds of things are just market oddities. But investors are taking this one seriously since there are such strong similarities with the 1982 bull market and the one the market is currently in. For instance, the current bull run has marked a 175% rally from the low, which is where the 1982 bull was at this point in its run, Paulsen says.

Investors won’t have to wait long to know if the 1987 market is a pattern. The current bull run hit its 1,274th trading day on March 31, 2014. The 1,274th trading day of the 1982 bull market was Aug. 25, 1987, which turned out to be a notable top, Paulsen says.

1987 had its own unique issues not present today. Prime rates were at 21% and the oil cartel had a grip on the economy, Paulsen says.

That’s not to say a crash is inevitable. Paulsen says that a 10% correction would be more likely than a full blown crash. And stocks might even rise first. And the market is famous for not following any patterns at all.

“Don’t worry much, however, about another major style 1987 collapse. History doesn’t usually fully repeat,” Paulsen wrote in his note to clients.

Republicans Fear Obama Will Let Russia Seize Internet Power

An Obama administration plan to give up oversight of certain technical Internet functions could open the door to a takeover by authoritarian regimes, Republican lawmakers claimed Wednesday.

If Russia or China gain new influence over the management of the Internet, they could begin censoring content or blocking websites, the Republicans warned.

"Make no mistake: Threats to the openness and freedom of the Internet are real," said Republican Rep. Greg Walden, the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Communications and Technology Subcommittee, which held a hearing on the issue Wednesday. "Leaders such as Vladimir Putin have explicitly announced their desire to gain control of the Internet."

Walden and other Republicans are pushing a bill that would block the transfer of authority until the Government Accountability Office can study the issue. Dozens of Senate Republicans, led by John Thune and Marco Rubio, sent a letter to the administration on Wednesday, demanding more answers about the plan.

But Democrats at Wednesday's hearing insisted that if Republicans were serious about Internet freedom, they would support the U.S. proposal. Assistant Secretary of Commerce Larry Strickling said the U.S. will make sure that no foreign government will be able to seize new powers over the Internet.

"No one has yet to explain to me the mechanism by which any of these individual governments could somehow seize control of the Internet as a whole," Strickling said.

"Do you really think that Vladimir Putin... isn't going to figure out some way to get control?" Rep. Steve Scalise, a Louisiana Republican, shot back. "China and Russia can be very resourceful,"

Last month, the Commerce Department announced that it will give the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), an international nonprofit group, control over a set of technical procedures that allows computers around the world to connect to Web addresses.

Although the Internet was invented in the United States, the U.S. government has never "controlled" it. And ICANN has actually managed the Internet's address system since 1998. But ICANN's authority stems from a contract it receives from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, a Commerce Department agency.

By ending that contract, the U.S. will give up an "important backstop" that has protected the Internet from authoritarian regimes, Walden said. If ICANN bowed to pressure from Russia, China, or Iran, the U.S. could have always pulled the group's contractual authority. But once the U.S. gives up its power, "there is no putting this genie back in the bottle," Walden warned.

Rep. Joe Barton, a Texas Republican, said he is afraid that if the U.S. steps back, "the next government that might want to do something, the Russians or the Chinese, will not take the same attitude as the U.S. government towards online freedom."

But House Democrats argued that the move is just the latest step in the U.S. government's longtime support of the "multi-stakeholder" model of Internet governance, in which power rests with a broad range of companies, nonprofit groups, academics, and others.

"It's now time for the United States to walk the walk and demonstrate to the world that while the Internet was a product of American genius, no government or intergovernmental organization should control its future," Rep. Anna Eshoo, the subcommittee's top Democrat, said Wednesday.

Rep. Henry Waxman, the top Democrat on the full Energy and Commerce Committee, argued that the administration's plan is in line with a resolution that Congress unanimously passed in 2012, announcing support for an Internet free from government control.

Strickling promised that the U.S. government will not give up its authority over ICANN until the nonprofit group produces a credible plan for how it will manage the Internet's address functions going forward. Any plan that would give authority to other governments or intergovernmental organizations would be a nonstarter, he said.

He argued that the transition will actually build trust in the multi-stakeholder model, which will help to undermine any foreign attempts to gain Internet power through the United Nations or other avenues.

"Taking this action is the best measure to prevent authoritarian regimes from expanding their restrictive policies beyond their own borders," Strickling said.

Fadi Chehadé, the president and CEO of ICANN, vowed to defend Internet freedom from attacks by other governments and urged lawmakers to trust in the multi-stakeholder model.

"At the heart of this proposal is the commitment to security, stability, and resiliency. That is our number one job," he said.

A range of companies and civil liberties groups have endorsed the administration's plan. Most recently, the Internet Association, a lobbying group that includes Google, Facebook, and Yahoo, sent a letter to House lawmakers supporting the proposal.

The transfer of authority is set to take place in October 2015.

Apocalyptic prophecies drive both sides to Syrian battle for end of time - Yahoo News

BEIRUT (Reuters) - Conflict in Syria kills hundreds of thousands of people and spreads unrest across the Middle East. Iranian forces battle anti-Shi'ite fighters in Damascus, and the region braces for an ultimate showdown.

If the scenario sounds familiar to an anxious world watching Syria's devastating civil war, it resonates even more with Sunni and Shi'ite fighters on the frontlines - who believe it was all foretold in 7th Century prophecies.

From the first outbreak of the crisis in the southern city of Deraa to apocalyptic forecasts of a Middle East soaked in blood, many combatants on both sides of the conflict say its path was set 1,400 years ago in the sayings of the Prophet Mohammad and his followers.

Among those many thousands of sayings, or hadith, are accounts which refer to the confrontation of two huge Islamic armies in Syria, a great battle near Damascus, and intervention from the north and west of the country.

The power of those prophecies for many fighters on the ground means that the three-year-old conflict is more deeply rooted - and far tougher to resolve - than a simple power struggle between President Bashar al-Assad and his rebel foes.

Syria's war has killed more than 140,000 people, driven millions from their homes and left many more dependent on aid. Diplomatic efforts, focused on the political rather than religious factors driving the conflict, have made no headway.

"If you think all these mujahideen came from across the world to fight Assad, you're mistaken," said a Sunni Muslim jihadi who uses the name Abu Omar and fights in one of the many anti-Assad Islamist brigades in Aleppo.

"They are all here as promised by the Prophet. This is the war he promised - it is the Grand Battle," he told Reuters, using a word which can also be translated as slaughter

Yellowstone Volcano Eruption in 2014? Are Animals Are Fleeing Park As 'An Alert'?

A number of bloggers are posting videos that show bison and other animals allegedly leaving Yellowstone National Park, prompting theories that as earthquakes ramp up the seismic activity will set off the Yellowstone supervolcano.

Two of the main bloggers behind the discussion stress that there’s no way to know when the supervolcano will go off but note that the 4.8 magnitude earthquake that hit on March 30 seemed to set off a reaction from the animals, who are moving for a reason.

“Whether I believe this, or whether I don’t believe the story or not, I don’t know. I can tell you this story I saw this morning about the buffaloes running the street … whether or not it’s because of any activity in Yellowstone or not, I don’t know,” said blogger Jay Lee, who posted a story on his site tatoott1009.com.

“But I’ll tell you this, whatever the case may be, that their running away from Yellowstone is an alert of some sort.”

The Local Harley dealership is going to help with what is called a fun run it used to be called poker runs but KS changed that… I also talked over an hour with a minister of a church who seemed highly interested in helping so please pray for these things…..

Today the Mission Church gas got shut off! We need to pay roughly $300 but the money we thought would have been in the mail has not made it yet….now they want $583 to turn it back on, I could be off a little as my wife handles those things…it is getting chilly in here!

CIA ignored station chief in Libya when creating talking points on Benghazi - Washington Times

Before the Obama administration gave an inaccurate narrative on national television that the Benghazi attacks grew from an anti-American protest, the CIA’s station chief in Libya pointedly told his superiors in Washington that no such demonstration occurred, documents and interviews with current and former intelligence officials show.

The attack was “not an escalation of protests,” the station chief wrote to then-Deputy CIA Director Michael J. Morell in an email dated Sept. 15, 2012 — a full day before the White House sent Susan E. Rice to several Sunday talk shows to disseminate talking points claiming that the Benghazi attack began as a protest over an anti-Islam video.

That the talking points used by Mrs. Rice, who was then U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, were written by a CIA that ignored the assessment by its own station chief inside Libya, has emerged as one of the major bones of contention in the more than two years of political fireworks and congressional investigations into the Benghazi attack.

What has never been made public is whether Mr. Morell and others at the CIA explicitly shared the station chief’s assessment with the White House or State Department.

Two former intelligence officials have told The Washington Times that this question likely will be answered at a Wednesday hearing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence during which Mr. Morell is scheduled to give his public testimony.

Mr. Morell, who has since left the CIA, declined to comment on the matter Monday. He now works at Beacon Global Strategies, a Washington insider strategic communications firm.

One former intelligence official close to Mr. Morell told The Times on the condition of anonymity that “the whole question of communication with the station chief will be addressed in his testimony.”

“We’re confident that it will clarify the situation in the minds of many who are asking,” the former official said.

Another former intelligence official told The Times that Mr. Morell did tell the White House and the State Department that the CIA station chief in Libya had concluded that there was no protest but senior Obama administration and CIA officials in Washington ignored the assessment.

Why they ignored it remains a topic of heated debate within the wider intelligence community.

A third source told The Times on Monday that Mr. Morell and other CIA officials in Washington were weighing several pieces of “conflicting information” streaming in about the Benghazi attack as the talking points were being crafted.

“That’s why they ultimately came up with the analysis that they did,” the source said. “The piece that was coming out of Tripoli was important, but it was one piece amid several streams of information.”

One of the former intelligence officials said the Libya station chief’s assessment was being weighed against media reports from the ground in Benghazi that quoted witnesses as saying there had been a protest. Analysts at the CIA, the source said, also were weighing it against reporting by other intelligence divisions, including the National Security Agency.

“The chief of station in Tripoli who was 600 or 700 miles away from the attacks wouldn’t necessarily have the only view of what actually went on in Benghazi,” that former official said.

U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the attack.

A Clear and Present Danger: The Threat to Religious Liberty in the Military

Introduction

The Armed Forces of the United States have defended this nation for well over two and a quarter centuries. The soldiers, sailors, Marines, airmen, and Coast Guardsmen who have been injured, wounded, and killed in defense of our country often have been very committed to their faith in God. Should it be surprising that those who face serious injury and death so regularly might focus more consciously on matters of eternity? It seems only natural that the gravity of military life should lead to serious consideration of spiritual matters.

Military life is hard and dangerous. It requires a level of focus and endurance - physical, mental, and spiritual - that simply is not required of many other occupations. Consequently, one would expect that those who pursue a military life must attain to a higher level of self-discipline than their civilian counterparts.

In this, as in many areas of life, George Washington is a towering example of what it means to be a great soldier in a republic. Washington was extremely disciplined and deeply religious. These traits were not merely coincidental. Rather, they were self-reinforcing.

So it is with members of the modern Armed Forces. Religious conviction is not merely an add-on belief; it is like a strand in a rope that complements the others while greatly increasing strength.

Military life in the United States has always had a strong religious component for the reasons given above but also, as Alexis de Tocqueville noted, because Americans have been and continue to be a genuinely religious people.

Rather than being divisive, the strong religious presence in the United States military has had a unifying effect. In the times of greatest peril to life and limb, it is a great comfort to know that many of those with whom your life is entrusted share a commitment to each other, to the United States, and to God. Simply put, devotion to moral principles derived from a Higher Power allows for a greater level of trust to exist among members of the military.

Therefore, it is with great unease that we at the Family Research Council (FRC) have noted a growing hostility to religion within the armed services in the last decade. Unfortunately, pressures to impose a secular, anti-religious culture on our nation's military services have intensified tremendously during the Obama Administration. This pressure exists across the armed services, but it has become extremely acute in the United States Air Force (USAF).

The Air Force has had the great misfortune to be targeted by anti-Christian activists. Regrettably, some of the highest-level officers within the Air Force appear to be cooperating with this effort, and those in the other military branches are feeling its effects as well.

What follows is a list of discrete events presenting a larger picture of the threat to religious liberty that now exists in America's armed forces. The examples provided represent only a portion of the concerted efforts to scrub the military of religious expression, through which the chilling effect of punishment and potential career destruction lie at the back of everyone's mind.

Franklin Graham: Some Administration Officials Are 'Anti-Christ'

Some of the people working in the Obama administration and in the White House are trying to “completely secularize our military” and are “hostile to Christians,” to the point that they “are anti-Christ in what they say and in what they do,” said Christian evangelist Franklin Graham, the son of world-renowned preacher Rev. Billy Graham. Franklin Graham made his comments during a Mar. 24 interview with Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, which published an updated report on religious persecution in the U.S. armed forces this month.

During the interview on Washington Watch Weekly, Perkins asked Graham, “I would have to believe you’re also tracking, in fact I know you’re tracking because you were a part of it – when you were scheduled to speak at the Pentagon a few years ago they disinvited you – are you concerned about this intense religious hostility that we see manifesting in our nation’s military?” -

Graham said, ““No question. And my son just got back from his seventh [military] tour this weekend. So, I love the military. There has been huge pressure on the chaplains in our military – and our chaplains have been a wonderful thing for the military. But there is a move to get rid of the chaplains in our country, and to completely secularize our military. Actually, they are hostile to Christians.

“A lot of this is coming from this administration and is being pushed by people within the White House,” said Graham. “And when I say White House, I’m not saying the president, because I’m not sure how much of this he’s aware of. But it’s people that work for him that have power, that are sitting in offices, and they are hostile to Christ.”

Earlier in the interview, Perkins had briefly discussed religious liberty in the military and spoke of moral decline in America. He had also asked Graham, “what will it take for America to come back to our moral principles?” Graham said, “This is a good question. When you look at scripture, when Israel turned their backs on God – and that’s what we as a nation have done and are doing – there was usually some type of calamity. There was a famine, there was a persecution from their neighbors, nations would come in and overrun them and destroy them.”

He continued, “And it’s, kind of, when they were beaten down to the ground, that they would turn their hearts toward God once again. And they would cry unto the Lord, and He would hear them and He would deliver them. Potentially explosive statement by Jewish Home’s Uri Ariel breaks taboo against damaging status quo on Temple Mount

A government minister from a nationalist religious party called Thursday for the Jewish Temple to be rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The statement from Housing and Construction Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home) breaks a long-standing taboo on high-ranking government officials speaking about changing the fragile status quo on the holy and contested esplanade, and will likely draw ire from official Israeli circles and anger the Arab and Muslim world.

Speaking at an archaeological conference next to the West Bank settlement of Shilo and quoted by Maariv, Ariel called for a third Temple to be built on the site, which today is home to the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque and is considered Judaism’s holiest site and Islam’s third holiest.

“We’ve built many little, little temples,” Ariel said, referring to synagogues, “but we need to build a real Temple on the Temple Mount.”

The Jerusalem site was home to Judaism’s first and second Temples, both of which were destroyed, the second one in 70 CE. The idea of building a third Temple, while popular among some religious and right-wing Jews, is considered outside mainstream Israeli discourse by most.

Last year, Jewish Home MK Zevulun Orlev also called for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple, saying that removing the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa Mosque would mean that the “billion-strong Muslim world would surely launch a world war.” However, he added, “everything political is temporary and there is no stability.”

Jews are currently banned from praying on the Temple Mount by the Jordanian department of endowments, known as the Wakf, which administers the plaza surrounding the al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

Masbia's Soup Kitchen Offers Fresh Food from Chef Ruben Diaz

Fresh, locally sourced food? Check. Art on the walls? Check. Helping New York's hungry? Check.

The phrase “soup kitchen” doesn’t exactly ooze comfort. Getting meals to the homeless or hungry is usually a bare-bones affair, involving the most inexpensive food and all the ambiance of a basement cafeteria.

But walking into a soup kitchen run by Masbia, a group founded in 2005 and now operating three store fronts across Brooklyn and Queens, feels different. The food is fresh, cooked by chef Ruben Diaz and volunteers, and meals incorporate donations from city farmers’ markets and local CSAs. There’s art on the walls. The chairs don’t fold. It looks like a restaurant, and it is – one where nobody has to pick up the check themselves.

Masbia is on track to serve one million meals this year alone.

The food is kosher – the founders are Hasidic Jews, and the first store front opened in Boro Park, a primarily Orthodox Jewish neighborhood – but people of all creeds are welcome. Many of the volunteers preparing the food are patrons, who work a few hours and then take their meals with employees.

But while volunteers help, private donations are what keep the doors open, making up much of the year’s $2 million operating budget.

During a recent visit to Masbia, most seated patrons confirmed that this was the first and only soup kitchen they had sought out. And perhaps it’s not so surprising: They said dignified surroundings and healthy, comforting meals raise Masbia above the standard, a welcome reminder that seeking help with food doesn’t have to be a gloomy affair.

I refer to your recent statement to House Foreign Affairs Committee in Congress, dated March 13, 2014[1], in which you defined "as a mistake" Israel's central and principled requirement in the negotiations with the Palestinians, calling for acknowledgement of Israel as the Nation State of the Jewish People.

You justified your dismissing this requirement by claiming, and reiterating Palestinian propaganda statements, that the "Jewish State issue" had been "sufficiently addressed by UN General Assembly Resolution 181 of 1947, which recommended the establishment of independent Arab and Jewish states in Palestine."

No-one should doubt US Secretary of State John Kerry's seriousness and dedication in attempting to bring Israeli-Palestinian peace.

No-one can or should doubt the deep, firm and everlasting friendship between Israel and the US, and the latter's genuine commitment to assisting Israel and the Palestinians in the process of achieving peace between them.

Similarly, no-one should doubt Secretary of State John Kerry's seriousness and dedication in attempting to bring the two sides to an agreement.

However, Secretary Kerry's recent one-sided statement to Congress in which he criticized as "a mistake" one of Israel's most fundamental negotiating premises, which calls for acknowledgment of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people, was ill-advised, went beyond his mandate as convener of the negotiations and, in fact, misrepresented the historic record.

Sometimes it is necessary to tell our friends that they are wrong.

Preparing to Rebuild the Third Holy Temple in Jerusalem

Nearly 2000 years ago, the Second Holy Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, and Jews have been mourning ever since. But did you know that some have already started preparing the Temple vessels or even agitating for its reconstruction?

Last year's video went viral after it sparked a controvery in Egypt. In the video, two kids build a sand castle version of the Third Temple while their father sits and reads the paper. The page he's viewing has (now-deposed) President of Egypt Mohamed Morsi's photo on it. When he sees what the kids have done, he drops the paper in shock on the ground. Dropping Morsi's face on the ground was taken as a major sign of disrespect in Egypt.

In case it wasn't obvious already, anything to do with actually rebuilding the Temple on the Temple Mount would be tremendously, incredibly, explosively controversial.

Finding a red heifer

One of the potential pitfalls in rebuilding the Temple is that everyone is ritually impure, and thus ineligible to enter the Temple. The ritual for purification, from the book of Numbers, requires sprinkling the ashes from a purely red heifer on one who is impure (such as by having been to a cemetary). But no unblemished, purely red heifer has been found in these last 2000 years.

Here's an interesting (though old) article about an effort in the '90s by a Christian red angus cattle breeder to produce an eligible red heifer in order to help bring about the End Time.

Where is the Temple actually meant to be located?

Some scholars have suggested that the Dome of the Rock, long thought to be built on the site of the First and Second Temples, is actually adjacent to the Temple site.

According to Asher Kaufman's research, the Temple site was actually to the north of the Dome, while according to Tuvia Sagiv, it was in between the Dome and the al-Aqsa mosque (see this learning for the full details).

Their research suggests an unusual potential solution that some have proposed - is there any way to imagine building the Temple alongside the two holy mosques? Turning the Temple Mount into a holy, multifaith site, serving both the Muslim and Jewish communities, as well as Christian pilgrims?

"Temple Mount Two Thousand: Holy to Three Faiths" design competition

It never happened, of course. And even if it would happen, it would only be theoretical and not practical. But in this Huff Post piece Robert Eisenman, brother of the architect who designed the Holocaust Museum in Berlin, proposes a utopian international architectural competition to design a way to host holy buildings for all three major monotheistic religions on the Temple Mount complex.

Reestablishing the Sanhedrin - the Rabbinic high court

Another piece that might be necessary to rebuilding the Temple is reestablishing the Rabbinic high court, the Sanhedrin, which is meant to sit in an alcove at the Temple.

Although there have been a number of attempts to reestablish the Sanhedrin over the centuries, covered in this Wikipedia article, the newest effort, in 2004, might remove this particular difficulty. This learning is all about the new Sanhedrin.

Tisha B'Av, the ninth of the Jewish month of Av, which this year falls out on July 16th, is a full day of fasting and mourning. A whole litany of tragic events befell the Jewish people on this day (and the world - WW I began on Tisha B'Av), from the Temple's destruction to the Expulsion from Spain in the Inquisition. This learning is all about the history of the day, and here is a page about the mourning customs and prayers of the day.

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement

The goal of this extremist group is "the building of the Third Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem in our lifetime in accordance with the Word of G-d and all the Hebrew prophets and the liberation of the Temple Mount from Arab (Islamic) occupation so that it may be consecrated to the Name of G-d."

According to Wikipedia, although in the 70s and 80s they were the most visible pro-rebuilding group, at this point they are primarily a political advocacy group staging regular protests but staying within the limits of the law.
